DESCRIPTION
Malik, meaning king, is a statement piece rooted in traditional Syrian craftsmanship. Larger in scale and richer in detail, this mosaic chest carries a structured geometric composition across its lid and front panels, built from individually cut wood segments and fine inlay work.
The layered star and diamond patterns create depth and rhythm, framed by darker borders that ground the design. Warm wood tones in oak and lemonwood contrast naturally with the geometric precision, allowing the craftsmanship to speak without excess.
The interior is fully lined in deep red velvet and includes a removable velvet tray for organized storage. Beneath the tray, a spacious compartment allows room for larger jewelry pieces, keepsakes, heirlooms, or personal treasures.
The box rests on small wooden feet and includes a functional lock with key, adding both practicality and character.
Each piece carries subtle variations in grain and inlay placement, reflecting authentic hand assembly rather than industrial production.
